Midstream Pipeline Oil Release
An oil & gas client called Pinnacle in a time of immediate need after an outside party struck a large underground pipeline which led to the release of 25k gallons of unleaded gasoline. This release was in the middle of an urban area with both commercial and residential property nearby, creating additional pressure to resolve the issue in a timely & effective manner. Pinnacle’s team immediately provided excavation, installment of groundwater monitoring wells, storm sewer flushing & inspection, petroleum odor inspection, and installment of temporary stormwater management methods. Longterm, Pinnacle performed remedial investigation and site remediation services via soil vapor extraction (SVE). Additionally, Pinnacle provided stormwater inspections, response to odor complaints, and served as a liaison to the city. This project was granted closure from the MPCA less than 12 months after the incident occurred.
